All About Zebras
Zebras are amazing animals that you might have seen on TV or in a book! They are like horses, but with black and white stripes all over their bodies. These stripes make zebras look very unique and special.
Just like humans have different fingerprints, each zebra has a different pattern of stripes that helps them identify each other.
Zebras are usually found in Africa, living in grasslands, savannas, and sometimes even in forests. They love to graze on grass and leaves, and they use their strong teeth to grind the food into tiny pieces.
Zebras are also very social animals and they live in groups called herds. In these groups, they play, groom each other, and protect each other from predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.
Speaking of lions, did you know that zebras are one of their favorite prey?
But zebras are very smart and they have a great defense mechanism to protect themselves. When a lion tries to attack a zebra, the zebra will run and zigzag to confuse the lion, and sometimes even kick with their powerful legs. That’s why zebras are known for their speed and agility, just like the lions who hunt them.
